I'm Still In Love With You

I'm here!

I'm not planning to leave any time soon and I'm in the frame of mind I am going to go when/if they show me the door, but not before that!

I just realized I commented a couple of post, but I've never made a post about my staying, so here I am! If I have to be honest, the new policy didn't scare me a bit... This might be alarming as in there are so many scary things happening right now that this isn't even in the "moderately afraid" pile.



I have a Dreamwidth Account just for back up reasons only, but I'm not planning to go over there like at all for now! I am doing it just so that I can have a back up of all the lovely conversations I had with you guys... But, if something goes wrong with LJ, I don't think I'm going to post over there, but I'm sure we'll find a way to stay in touch... (on my main page there are links to my facebook/instagram/youtube/... accounts) but feel free to add me on DW as I am adding you, because I know myself and I might change my mind!

Life is sort of crazy right now and I am not spending a lot of time around here, but I hope to come back and be more active soon!

Sorry, I'm struggling to keep up with LJ these days, I hope you understand... We're moving in and there's so much to do! The place THANKFULLY is perfect and needs very little attention. We already decided what to keep and what to replace and we're making progress, but we have a lot of things we need to go through... We lived with our stuff in storage units for YEARS now and we don't even remember what we have!

Eric will be gone (for a WHOLE MONTH) in a week and I now need to concentrate on us and the house! Sorry! I will be back as soon as I have enough time to sit for more than 5 minutes!

✿ I just got back home from my first day at work and I had so much fun! I had to organize stuff and I LOVE organizing! It wasn't busy at all but time passed by quite quiclky. Tomorrow I'll probably start fixing their computers because apparently they need a lot of Love!

✿ The other day I saw this recipe for a Water Cake and I read it out of curiosity... It's a cake with no eggs (I never have eggs in the house) no butter (butter always expire in my fridge when Eric is not around) and no milk (milk is for cappuccino only, do not touch it for any other reason) so I decided to make it... I had a lot of sugar in the house that I only use when I make the bread, because the recipe calls for it. The cake was SO GOOD! After the first bite I realizes that was a Vegan Cake, and I got very excited... My dad came over and he tried it, without me saying it was vegan, and he liked it too! It's so soft and moist... I'm definitely going to make it again! I'm having it for dinner with cappuccino and juice tonight!

✿ Eric had 2 days off so we managed to have two phone dates and last night I cried a little after we talked because it hit me how much I miss him and I'm not going to see him for more than a month... I'm so glad they made it to Fort Lauderdale even if the Ocean was a bitch apparently! They had 14 days of bad weather! He's going to have the weekend off too, so he only has to work today and tomorrow! I just want to see him! I miss him so much!!! He'll be headed to the Bahamas around the 7th of December for work, and he'll be back to Fort Lauderdale during the first week of January and I'll be there waiting for him! I couldn't even catch a plane and go see him, because I know how busy he gets before a trip (I know it because I lived it on my skin for 4 years... that boat is insane!)

✿ A lot of people is making Christmas cards and I want to kick myself because I don't have my supplies here and I want to send cards! I love cards! So I'm thinking of what to do... Maybe send belated ones as soon as I'm back to Florida? Do some e-cards? Do some fan arts? I don't know... Tell me, what should I do?

✿ I started a new book by Dixie Cash... It's not what I expected, but it's an easy read! I want to finish it before the end of the month and I hope I'll be able to, since all my shows are entering the winter hiatus and I am basically caught up with all of them!

✿ I think my favorite show at the moment is Lucifer! I can barely wait for the next episode, I think they're doing a GREAT job this season!... I haven't got so excited for a show in a while. I'm also so excited about Gilmore Girls and I can't wait for it to come out! It's going to be glorious... I'll probably watch it all in one night xD. Also the Arrow/Flash/LoT/Supergirl crossover is coming, and I keep seeing videos of the cast being adorable all over youtube and I hope it's going to be as good as I expect it to be! :D

✿ Also this: Obama awards Ellen DeGeneres the Medal of Freedom This speech was so moving! I'm going to miss Obama so much! You can fine the whole event HERE and you should!!!

I'm very ashamed of myself... I haven't read much this month either. I have some good reasons and some less good ones. I've been traveling around quite a lot and I've been trying to spend as much time as I can with Eric and in the evening I'm just so tired that I can't read as much as I want... Next month should be easier since I'm completely alone and I'll need a distraction... The other reason (the bad one) is that my TV calendar is full, as I neglected my books I also neglected my shows so I am behind with almost everything and I'm trying to catch up as fast as I can, so that I can go back dividing my time equally between books and shows.

Also Eric now really likes Suits, so I am re-watching it with him and it's fun! He is totally into it and he wants to watch it together so I can't watch something else when he's in a TV mood... The funny thing is: Eric tends to watch an episode a day and no more than that... With Suits we end up watching 3 episodes per night! I'm glad he likes it so much! But this is a post about books so:

	A Place For Us Originally published: Feb 2016 Author: Harriet Evans Genre: Fiction / Contemporary (reading time: Sept 23 - Oct 15) ★★★

I like books narrated from different points of view and I quite enjoyed all the character in the novel, but the book felt very long... I think the story could have been told in less pages.

	The Time Keeper Originally published: Oct 2013 Author: Mitch Albom Genre: Fiction / Fantasy (reading time: Oct 18- Oct 19) ★★★★★

This book was so good! I read it while flying from Miami to Paris. I could not put it down... I love Mitch Albom and the the way he writes. This book is a masterpiece and I think it should eventually became a Classic! It is truly something everyone should read and talk about!

I'm now reading A Man Called Ove and it seems pretty good!

What's your favorite Halloween costume you wore as a kid?


And I don't have an answer LOL because I've never celebrated Halloween when I was a kid because we don't do it in Italy... That's so upsetting!

But I can tell you what would have been my favorite costume if I could dress up as anything as a kid: I would have been a pirate! I LOVED pirates! So for Halloween I would have been one of the dead pirated from Pirates of the Caribbean :D

What are you planning for Halloween? Are you celebrating today or you did it over the weekend?

Eric and I are going to "celebrate" tonight, we're going to or favorite pizza place, but no costume... We had a very nice Sunday, we went out for a couple of walks, and did a lot of talking about the future and other things... It was a very nice day and we fought the sleepiness to be able to spend the whole day together, without loosing even a moment... The moment of separation is getting closer and we're feeling it! It's going to be hard to be away from each other for so long...

Still catching up with my shows, it's Once Upon A Time time... I'm almost there. I'm watching episode 4 now and it's so funny how, on every show, one of the characters ends up cutting his/her hair and does a great job... xD I think I might give up on Blindspot and Conviction... I'm watching these shows just for Jaimie and Hayley but the rest is just so boring now!

It's finally time for me to post some of the awesome pictures I took at the party last weekend!

To give you a little bit of a backgrownd informations about what the party was for, I will start by saying that Eric has been working on this for almost a year! He had this idea about getting all his friends, from different parts of his life, together in one place, to celebrate the fact they were all turning 50. The event was splitted in two evenings.

The first one was at Victor's, this awesome pub that ages ago was a church... The place is awesome and the food is super good! We had dinner there and then Tom, Dick and Howie played their guitars for the rest of the evening. Tom is the guy who married Eric and I, and Howard and David (Dick) are two of Eric's closest friends, thet met in Tampa in the 80es when Howard invited Eric to spend some time with he and his flatmates down there. Eric quit his job and started a new chapter of his life there and they became very close friends! Their playlist was 95% Grateful Dead and 5% Hits from the 80es! They were amazing! They haven't played together for a while since Tom (the Rev) lives in North Carolina and Howard and David are here in Pennsylvania but they live quite far from eachother...

It wasn't easy to take pictures in that space unfortunately so I don't have a lot of good shoots about that evening:( Pics from the First Evening )

The second evening was at the Studio, this big space Eric rented from 3 pm to midnight. 5 bands were playing that evening! All of them are Eric's friends and most of them didin't knew each other... the evening was such a success. At some point the band mixed up, and they all played together and created great music! That was fantastic!

It was so much fun! And Eric (and all his friends) had the time of his life! He worked so hard on this project and I couldn't be happier about the result! He's going to remember this evening forever!!!

Eric and I are still traveling North.
We've stopped for the night in Fayetteville, NC, and now we're going going out to explore and for some breakfast... I'm craving Krispy Kreme... That Offer on National Coffee Day definitely worked because I'm hooked up!
We've never stop here so I hope I'll find something pretty! :D

I was talking with Eric about it the other day (he loves Italy) and I was telling him how my leaving home (Italy) made me learn how to love it and miss it... but still, now I'd never being able to give up on the US . Every time I leave Florida I instantly miss it, and it happens the same when I'm leaving Italy too! So, a thing that I really like about both places is that they're able to make me feel home and I find myself missing them when I'm not there! I don't take either Country for granted!


The best thing about living in Italy is food! Sorry to be too obvious! And it's all about the quality, not the variety. Everything is good... and the coffee (but if you buy a Nespresso Coffee Maker you can have Italian Coffee at home too). I love the energy of Italians and they way they move. I like that are pretty straight forward, meaning: if I don't like you I'll let you know, while Americans are (from my experience) too nice and sometimes it comes out as fake. I like the fact that when I'm there I'm surrounded by History and Old Souls! Italy makes me feel good about being who I am, and it gives me an heaviness that I like to have in me.

The best thing about living in America is the variety. You can find everything you can possibly think about! Everything is vast and new! I love the sense of unlimited possibilities! America makes me want to be better and expand my horizons. Makes me feel like everything is possible and lifts my spirit! Also FREE WIFI EVERYWHERE! That's the best thing! Restaurants are open all day (if you want to eat at 3 pm in Italy you probably won't find any restaurant open) as well as shops! If I'm low on milk I can go to CVS even in the middle of the night! That's handy!

So, in a few words: Together, this Countries make me whole! That's the thing I love the most!!!

Hope you're having a great Thursday, also known as baby Friday xD I thought t drop by for a quick update!

➜ Now that Eric is home (thank you for all your safe travel messages) I'm super busy and very happy! I hate to be alone and it's so great having him around with his post-it notes full of ideas and things to do and his energy... playing my guitar while I check my email... It's just lovely! It has been a long time since we spent some quality time together and we needed it!

➜ Today is the best day ever because it's National Coffee Day and - as you know - I LOVE COFFEE with all my heart! I checked online for coffee offers and it looks like Krispy Kreme gives away free coffees and free glazed doughnuts so that's where we're headed after lunch!

➜ Yesterday we went to Barnes & Noble because I had a 25 $ gift card to use and there were some pretty good deals, so I ended up buying quite a lot of books and - of course - I want to read them all now! I bought (from the bargain priced table):
   -(Something) Borrowed and (Something) Blue by Emily Giffin: two books in one, I saw the movie Something Borrowed a couple of months ago, and I liked it a lot and - since the book is always better than the movie - I thought it was a good idea to get it (and it was less than 6 $)!
   -The Grown Ups by Robin Antalek: I love books that explore bonds between families and friends and this seems pretty well written!
   -Our Red Hot Romance by Dixie Cash: because the story seems fun even if the title seems to be about something different. She's a funny writer so I know I'll have fun with it!
   -The Time Keeper by Mitch Albom: because I read The First Call from Heaven recently and I love the way this guy writes! This book seems even more interesting, so I can't wait!
Then I went upstairs and I ended up buying more books, full price this time xD
   -My Grandmother Asked Me to tell You She's Sorry and A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman because I've been meaning to buy them both since the day thay came out but I never did and now it was time. I was attracted by A Man Called Ove because I liked The 100 Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared (Jonas Jonasson) so much, and this book reminded me of it.
   -The Bookshop on the Corner by Jenny Colgan because it sounds like a story of self discovery and I love that.
   -The Whispers Beyond the Veil by Jessica Estevao because period drama YAY

➜ The DVD section at B&N it's so AWFUL... very disorganized (like whole book store to be honest...) I don't really like B&N but it's the only book store around here. I went in, looking for Suits BlueRay (I wanted to check the fearures) and I just wanted to reorganize it all! Of course, every time I'm there, people asks me where to find books and I end helping them... It's like no one works there and people get so confused because it's so badly organized, so I feel like I need to help them. I should aply for a job there... I'd love to organize the store and I know already I can help and I could talk about books all the time! :D

I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was very productive!

I settled in into the apartment and made a couple of trips to storage to gather what I needed to survive this month (Mac, Coffee Maker, Extra Pillow, Bike, Leftover stuff from my last staying,...) and - as per usual - the change of time zone didn't messed up my body *pats herself on the back* although, my mind was struggling with getting use to it... But anyway:

➜ Welcome new friends: xfirefly9x, batmarg, tigtogiba34, favoritexrecord, cherrytattoo77, sometimesartist, frelling_tralk, imagine_peace, xlovebecomesher and mimoiikit143 (please let me know if I'm forgetting someone) I'm so excited... I can't wait to get to know you all better! :)

➜ Since I added a lot of new friends I wanted to know if you feel like I should do an introduction post or you would rather me making a question meme where you can come and ask whatver you feel like (I love weird/intriguing/crazy questions... oh I love the so much!) or something similar... You tell me what you want me to do, and I'll do it. I was also thinking I want to do some sort of a weekly post about fandoms and ships, since I have so many... And a monthly post with my favourite things... I don't know... All I know I'm a control freak and I want to do something very organized xD

➜ My weekend was all about music videos, as you might know. I've been waiting two long months to be reunited with my Mac and I just felt like spending a lot of time with it... Especially considering outside it's so hot... Florida, WTF?! I posted my Vincent Van Gogh [Doctor Who] the other day and I'm so excited to see so many of you commented on it and liked it! Thank you very much. It means the World to me! Last night I finished my Donna/Harvey [Suits] Music Video and I think it's the best video I've made so far. Maybe because I love the song so much [Poison & Wine by The Civil Wars] or maybe because I've been obsessed with suits recently (I binge-watch the whole thing in 2 weeks) I don't know... Today I'll fix some minor errors, so that I can make it perfect and I'll post it very soon. Next one might be another Doctor Who one... A Ten/Rose because I just have the perfect song for them and I miss that ship very much!

➜ I should make a couple of pic spams but I'm kind of bored with the layout and I would like something different and I should make some icons one of these days!

➜ I'm currently reading The Post Birthday World by Lionel Shriver, but I'm not giving it enough time... It's a very good book (if you liked the movie Sliding Doors, you might consider reading it) but it goes very deep into the head of the protagonist and there are not a lot of things happening so far.

➜ Last week the TV season started for me with Blindspot and the episode was great! Very strong season premiere, let's hope the show won't have as many fillers as last year! I'm very interested in the story. But my TV season really starts this week: I can't wait for Lucifer tonight, I loved season one and the cliffhanger was so good... and I cannot wait! Tomorrow Agents of SHIELD and Brooklyn Nine-Nine will be back in my weekly schedule, so I can spend my Tuesdays flipping tables for one and laughing with the other... and then Sunday: Once Upon a Time... Feels like this season has potential. We need a great bad guy and who's better than the Evil Queen? I mean this trailer makes me think this season could be awesome... There's going to be a lot of Lana and this makes me so happy! I'm adding to my calendar The Good Place as well because of Kristen Bell's face! I don't know if it's going to be any good but I need some comedies!

I'm about to board another plane and fly over seas... First stop will be Paris where I'm going to hang out for 5 hours... Then Miami, where I'll get an Uber (oh I missed you Uber) to Fort Lauderdale... I'll be there just in time to settle down and watch Suits mid season finale WOOOOO! XD

I feel very nervous for some reasons... I have everything with me but I have the usual annoying feeling I've left something behind... Maybe I left the gas on... No I'm sure I didn't... Am I? Okay enough XD

Anyway Eric will join me in less than 2 weeks so, if I'm missing something important, he can bring it over...

Things I'm happy to be reunited with:
1. I'll be reunited with my Mac and I'll be able to work on my Harvey/Donna music video!
2. Tokio Sushi... I've missed that restaurant so much!
3. Stores open all day long!
4. The positivity
5. My bicycle

Things I'm going to miss (even if for just a month)
1. Mom and dad and the whole family
2. My friends
3. Focaccia (a Genovese kind of bread)
4. My Vespa and my Smart Car and being able to drive around
5. My apartment
6. All the things that make me feel home and calm

Funny thing I'll be in the US just in time for the tv season to start... LOL that's timing XD
