Well, I also enjoy stories with an happy ending! It's just... it have to happen at the very end of the book even if I find it boring!

I don't know if you have read The Pillars of the Earth! Wee, for me the ship is EPIC 'til a certain point! Than is just cute! There must be something wrong about me xD

When I say depressing I mean that there's no happy ending, I can enjoy almost any angst but ONLY is there's a reconciliation. I get very pissy when characters get killed or something, have you read Sally Lockhart Mysteries?

I think it's normal actually, most of the epic love stories end badly which is why I usually hate them and think they are stupid XD The fact that I'm hanging onto The Doctor/Rose even though it's bittersweet is a one time only occurrence, well, at least we got a semi-happy ending and the writers didn't ruin the characters and their love for me (I stop shipping if the pairing gets messed up in a soapy way). Plus Ten and Rose look so perfect together I'm just helpless to resist, and in my head they are always end up happy anyway, DOOMSDAY NEVER HAPPENED LALALALA

We've talked about TPotE, I haven't read it but I was gonna watch the series, even DLed it, but then I was not in the mood (I have to be in the mood for epic period dramas, I mostly like 19th century ones) so I proceeded in watching Eureka instead and now Chuck.

Than is just cute!
Yeah, it was like that with Jim and Pam for me, I rooted for them, wanted to be together, and then when they started dating I kind of cooled off xD But they are still cute :D

Though I dunno what I'd pay to see The Doctor/Rose dating, I wouldn't mind that at all, they behaved themselves in s2 so happy as if they had been dating anyway XD

Right, Sorry :D I forgot! Well I forgive you just because of the awesomeness of Chuck! I never saw Eureka. I watch WH13 and there was a crossover a few weeks ago! ;) Do you watch WH13?

Yep. But they couldnìt be apart for too long, the good thing about the Office it's that is *real*, there are a bunch of weird people in that office but the things that happen are realistic so a very long angst story wasn't possible... Although I would have loved to see more about the way they end up together, for instance when they're on the beach I would have loved to hear what Jim said to Pam and other things... I actually disliked when Jim became the co-manager, no more pranks on Dwight. That made me sad! Not just for Dwight per se but because the pranks were something I loved about Jim&Pam relationship! :)

You haven't seen the Billie Piper (Matth Smith was there too, but I watched mainly for JJ Feild, who was my crush 3 years ago) movies "The Ruby In the Smoke" and "Shadow in the North" either? These are the adaptations of the first two books, I can't bring myself to watch the second one because I bawled my eyes out three years ago when I read the book (the character the heroine (and I) loved died the same night they finally got together), and even though I finished the series (there's one more book about Sally after that and the other about Jim, who Matt Smith plays) I swore to myself never EVER to read Philip Pullman again (he's the author of His Dark Materials,too, Golden Compass, all that, I haven't read)
They are way too awesome you just HAVE to love them!
They are just too perfect to pass, I can't even look at them with other people, they should act act and be together all the time XDD

Not yet, I decided to start with Eureka as it's an older show (I heard about the crossover before starting so I decided to watch WH13 after Eureka, Claudia from WH13 visited Eureka, did someone from Eureka visit WH13?), again, I took time off from sci-fi after finishing Eureka to watch my favourite kind at the moment - a spy-show, which is Chuck.

Then you know what you'd be getting into if you decide to read. Actually, I knew Fred was gonna die, I just didn't know it would hit me so hard and I'd be shipping the characters so much by that time (it's easier to be immune to them aftershort movie time but after reading the novels and getting to know them for days, I loved Fred so freaking much, he's soo adorable, like he once said "I'm too gentle for accounting" or something like that, AWW *sighs*
I only picked up the novels because I knew JJ Feild starred in the first one (the second was not out by the time I was reading) and I decided to read before watching to understand better, I didn't know I would care so much.

I put on my WTF!!! face for I don't remember how much time!
I was incredibly pissed on Pullman for making her lead on Fred for 5 BLEEDING YEARS and when finally some sense was knocked into her head and she made him and herself happy - he died on the same night, SAME NIGHT.
And then I put on my WTF face when in the next book, what do you think? SHE GOT MARRIED, TO A PERSON SHE'S JUST MET, AND HE DIDN'T HAVE TO ASK TWICE OR MORE TIMES. Well, ok, it was a good character, but he wasn't Fred.
Though only way that could've made me less pissed if they'd made the third book into a movie and David starred as Daniel Goldberg (he could pass for a Jew, right? XD), David is just the type for that character.

Actually, the last episode I watched was where Chuck took down Shaw (YUSS) and saved Sarah and they GOT IT ON FINALLY. That was yesterday, I just couldn't watch anything else before I reached that episode of Chuck, today I tied some loose ends - watched this week's episodes of Leverage and Covert Affairs and Nikita, I'm going to stretch out the rest of Chuck series, maybe, because I don't want them over just yet, dunno if I can hold off myself though XD

Twilight fans scare the hell out of me! Really are they crazy or what? I have read just Twilight and then New Moon and in these days the fandom was quite ok the the movie came out and Hysteria all over the place and for what? For two actors with NO chemistry at all? WOW!
And it's a sexist book. She lives just for him she doesn't want anythig but him and blah blah blah and he's so dull. I don't even know why I've read the second book! I know why I watched the movie tho, I was drunk with a bunch of friends: Best Night EVER! We saw it in english and not in italian and was so bad! I laughed a lot!

Mwah, true. Though I'm not into very evil ones,too, in my favourite books since I was 13 vampires are totally different creatures and that's where I love them, plus they are not cheesy at all, which is a huge plus.

I hadn't seen much of Buffy back in the day, only maybe half a season somewhere in the middle, but last October I started from the beginning but didn't reach further than the end of s3, well, I didn't watch the last two episodes, I was kinda annoyed by what constant drama Angel/Buffy turned into but I still wasn't ready to let him go ♥ I like Spike,though, I just like Angel more.

I just watched The Honeymooners episode, OMG THEY ARE SOO CUTE, I SO NEED THE CUDDLES IN A GIF FORM ♥

Haha, true, so trashy BUT SO PRETTY, it's been a while since i saw so many pretty people at once XD Plus, there's teacher/student romance which is like my biggest kink ever (I read about it being there which is why I started watching), and there's also Holly Mary Combs, I just love her so much, she was always my favourite on Charmed which means I've loved her for,like, 9 years now.

Awww quanto mi rende happy questa domanda! :)

Allora, il libro è uno ma è bello grosso, sono 1030 pagine io l'ho finito in 4/5 giorni, quindi è proprio uno di quei libri che ti prende e non ti molla! Poi ci sarebbe una specie di "spin-off" ma è ambientato 2 secoli dopo, l'unica cosa che hanno in comune è la cattedrale e il fatto che alcuni personaggi siano i discendenti dei protagonisti di PotE!

La serie è una. Sono 8 episodi ed è della Starz. Ovviamente non potevano ricreare le situazioni che ci sono nel libro perché sarebbe diventato troppo lungo e complicato quindi ci sono stati tagli e modifiche ma alla fine lo show è stato molto bello! Il casting è stato semplicemente favoloso tra l'altro!

Io ti consiglio entrambi ma ovviamente partendo dal libro!

La trama è un po' difficile da spiegare perché ci sono davvero tanti personaggi in ballo e anche lo spazio temporale in cui si ritrovano è piuttosto vasto ma ruota tutto attorno alla costruzione di una cattedrale in un periodo di anarchia e nascono amori, grandi amicizie e ovviamente tradimenti e cattiverie una dietro l'altra e una SFIGA nera per tutti!

Quello che ho amato del libro è che in primis non ci sono punti morti, nel giro di 3 pagine può succedere di tutto e cose anche inaspettate senza miriadi di seghe mentali, non sai quante volte mi sono ritrovata a scalciare sotto le coperte! E poi i personaggi sono veramente realistici. Non c'è il cattivo che è esclusivamente cattivissimo o il buono che è di una purezza che neppure se lo lavi con l'omino bianco ti esce così pulito. Ognuno ha i suoi difetti e tante volte ti verrebbe da prendere a schiaffi tutti. Cosa che non sono riusciti a fare nel telefilm! Ma solo per motivi di tempo!

E poi c'è l'epicità dell'amore di due personaggi che cresce pagina dopo pagina senza che tu te ne accorga e quando ti trovi davanti al fatidico momento non puoi quasi crederci! <3

Io o consiglio davvero con tutto il cuore! Avevo bisogno di un bel libro da leggermi quest'estate perché stavo leggendo parecchia spazzatura senza rendermene bene conto e ho trovato uno dei libri più belli che abbia mai letto! :)
