When I say depressing I mean that there's no happy ending, I can enjoy almost any angst but ONLY is there's a reconciliation. I get very pissy when characters get killed or something, have you read Sally Lockhart Mysteries?
I'm not normal at all xD I think it's normal actually, most of the epic love stories end badly which is why I usually hate them and think they are stupid XD The fact that I'm hanging onto The Doctor/Rose even though it's bittersweet is a one time only occurrence, well, at least we got a semi-happy ending and the writers didn't ruin the characters and their love for me (I stop shipping if the pairing gets messed up in a soapy way). Plus Ten and Rose look so perfect together I'm just helpless to resist, and in my head they are always end up happy anyway, DOOMSDAY NEVER HAPPENED LALALALA
We've talked about TPotE, I haven't read it but I was gonna watch the series, even DLed it, but then I was not in the mood (I have to be in the mood for epic period dramas, I mostly like 19th century ones) so I proceeded in watching Eureka instead and now Chuck.
Than is just cute! Yeah, it was like that with Jim and Pam for me, I rooted for them, wanted to be together, and then when they started dating I kind of cooled off xD But they are still cute :D
Though I dunno what I'd pay to see The Doctor/Rose dating, I wouldn't mind that at all, they behaved themselves in s2 so happy as if they had been dating anyway XD
