Thanks to a combination between a sense of deep inspiration that Bloodline by Claudia Gary left me with, and a sugar rush due to the ammount of cookie dough I stuffed into my mouth yesterday, I finally opened up Final Cut Pro and finish this video I started to work on right after I saw The Force Awakens for the first time.

I fell in love with this song and I thought it was perfect for Han and Leia. I hav to thank my friend Valentina who posted this song on her facebook page!!!

OMG, that was so lovely! The shots of the Falcon flying, going over planets and such were so atmospheric. Also, the effects! And what a perfect music choice.
Have to rewatch again! <3<3

YAY I'm glad you liked it! I fell in love with the song right away, and when I got to the part where it mentions the Empire everything stopped and I knew what I had to do... I think the title it's the only thing I don't like about the song. xD

Unfortunately it took me a while to finish it... It was suppose to be a shorter video, just the first half of the song and then the final bit, but when I was almost done I still had so many scened that I wanted to put in it, so I decided to use the whole song and I am quite satisfied with the result.

This is my second video with this software. I'm still teaching myself how to use it, it has a lot of cool features but the pre-sets are not that great, so you also have to create your own coloring and it takes a while... I think it's rewarding though... So thank you I'm glad you like the effects!

I have two more songs I would like to use for Han and Leia, and maybe I'll jump on it while I'm baking the next batch of cookies :D

Aw, I love Han and Leia even I've never been a terribly strong shipper but I feel like this vid is kind of converting me... <3
Such a perfect song. And the bit when the lyrics go "But I'm a gonna come and rescue you" and we see Leia kissing Han after his defrosting and her in the slave suit reminded me an excellent meta I read a while ago, posing that, in her relationship with Han, Leia acts very much like a Disney prince, kissing him awake from his sleeping curse and slaying his dragon. *_*

Leia is the best Disney Prince(ss) EVER! And yes, it's funny you put it that way... She kissed him after he was under a "sleeping curse" and then slaw the "dragon" great job Leia!

It still sounds weird and it kind cracks me up, but technically she's a disney Princess now

But I just love the way they always go to rescue each other and they never stop the other from jumping into a dangerous situation. They're true partners and this is probably what I like the most about them and what makes them different! (and the crazy amount of sass)

Eheh, totally, I'm more of Luke/Han/Leia shipper if anything - for some reason the Star Wars franchise seems to be all about polyamory to me. Well, except for Anakin/Padmè, since I can't see Anakin as anything other than hypermonogamous (though I guess I could get behind the idea of Padmé/Anakin/Obi-Wan LOL)

For Padmé/Anakin/ObiWan well I'm a HUGE Ewan McGregor fan. He scarred me for life in Moulin Rouge and to this day I still feel the effects of his gorgeous face... So - even if I ship Padmé/Anakin - I would be lying if I say I would have not like more Padmé/Obi Wan interactions... :D but mostly because of Ewan... It makes me sad he didn't get some... xD

Plus IDK it makes me kind of sad thinking of Luke being all alone after Hand and Leia hook up...
The same goes for Rey/Poe/Finn, I kind of don't like the idea of anyone being left alone to pine LOL
Actually, polyamory seems to be my answer to ship wars: why worry about Erik/Sookie (eheh, the example came to my head watching the gif here in the sidebar) or Bill/Sookie when we can have Erik/Sookie/Bill? All the more fun for Sookie LOL

In the EU Luke falls in love plenty of times, he is the twin who inherited the romantic vision of Love xD I think he'll do pretty fine in the new canon too... :)

LOL Eric/Sookie/Bill would have so much better than the end we got... And they were vampires so I don't think a threesome would have been something too exotic xD

I haven't seen the Clone Wars... It's the only thing I'm missing (I also saw the lego stuff xD but I'll get there! :) )

Oh, yes, I forgot, in EU canon Luke has Mara! (I still have the Thrawn Trilogy on my e-book reader waiting to be read but I never find the time - or maybe the right motivation) And, yes, hopefully his sequels counterpart will do well too. *nods*

LOL, so much better than the final episode, what were they *thinking*? (Though at least Eric and Pam were adorable in it...)
