Feb. 3rd, 2017 11:17 am![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
My last flist friday was almost a month ago! I am so sorry! I've been so busy and I had so much going on (I can't wait to be able to share what's going on, but I can't for now) but I'm here now! I'll try to be better and keep up with this weekly post that I like a lot because it gives me the chance to connect with you and know you better, and that's what I want to do here!
So:
Do you watch anime still or it's a thing for the past for you?
What is/was your favorite(s) anime?
Do you read manga? What's your favorite(s)?
- Do you watch anime still or it's a thing for the past for you?
I still watch animes! A couple of years ago I watched A LOT of them, now I don't spend too much time on them and I miss it! I grew up watchinga lot of them. Every day, durning lunch after school I would watch Dragon Ball and before dinner Sailor Moon! And I loved it! Then it came Ranma. I remember I was in elementary school and a friend of mine draw for me Akane and I wanted to know where she came from. She told me there was this new anime on MTV(italy) and I watched it that evening and it was so much fun! Thank you Alessandra!
- What is/was your favorite(s) anime?
My favorites are of course:
Sailor Moon 美少女戦士セーラームーン: A 14-year-old young schoolgirl named Usagi Tsukino meets a talking cat named Luna. Luna gives Usagi the ability to transform into her magical alter ego, Sailor Moon. Tasked with locating the moon princess and battling the evil forces of the Dark Kingdom Usagi/Sailor Moon will recruit 4 other sailor scouts and regain the memory of her past.
When Sailor Moon Crystal came out I LOST IT! I loved the 1992 anime, but I knew it was different from the manga. When it was made clear that SM Crystal wanted to follow the manga I was filled with so much joy that even when the drawings were super of bad I didn't care! I can't wait for the next arcs! Sailor Moon R has always been my favorite arc!
Ranma ½ らんま ½: On a training journey in the Bayankala Mountain Range in the Qinghai Province of China, Ranma Saotome and his father Genma fall into the cursed springs at Jusenkyo. When someone falls into a cursed spring, they take the physical form of whatever drowned there hundreds or thousands of years ago whenever they come into contact with cold water. The curse will revert when exposed to hot water until their next cold water exposure. Genma falls into the spring of a drowned panda while Ranma falls into the spring of a drowned girl.
I loved the characters! The relationship between Ranma and Akane is so much fun with all the other characters in love with them and their crazy pride! I love the parents too! This anime is so much fun! I have all the manga too and I read it - let's say - more than once!
Dragon Ball ドラゴンボール:The series begins with a monkey-tailed boy named Goku befriending a teenage girl named Bulma, whom he accompanies to find the seven Dragon Balls, which summon the dragon Shenlong to grant the user one wish.
Again I love all the characters and the journey they make! There is a lot of fighting and it took so long for a battle to end! But I always enjoyed it! I think binge watching this anime would be the best thing to do LOL!
I loved so many anime though! I want to mention: Inuyasha (犬夜叉?), Cowboy Bebop (カウボーイビバップ), Wolf's Rain (ウルフズレイン), Lupin III (ルパン三世) and Cardcaptor Sakura (カードキャプターさくら) but there are so many!!!
- Do you read manga? What's your favorite(s)?
I have a pretty good collection of manga at home. I don't buy them anymore but I keep reading them in other ways :)
Of course I loved Sailor Moon and Ranma (I've never read Dragon Ball) but in a manga (and in an anime also) I am more attracted to a certain kind of drawing)
My favorite Manga as far as the story goes it must be Fruits Basket (フルーツバスケット) such a great story: When high school student Tohru Honda's mother dies in a car crash, Tohru begins living in a tent and supporting herself, until she finds a home in the least likely of places, inhabited by her popular classmate Yuki Sohma and his cousin Shigure. The Sohmas live with a curse. Twelve members of the family (not including Kyo, who is the cat) are possessed by spirits of the Chinese zodiac and turn into their zodiac animal when they are weak, under stress, embarrassed, or when hugged by someone of the opposite sex. We slowly get to meet all the family members and the story is fascinating!

But if we talk about drawings (and story) everything that is CLAMP is plain gorgeous! My favorite are X (エックス) and Magic Knight Rayearth (魔法騎士マジックナイトレイアース) amazing art <3
Feel free to post links, gifs and pictures as well! I'm always looking for new anime/manga

Date: 2017-02-04 11:05 pm (UTC)I remember being able to watch the final episode of Sailor Moon YEARS later because Italia 1 and Rete 4 didn't want to show it since Sailor Moon was fighting naked for the whole episode (as an angel) and they cut all the scenes full body and did a mess xD
Ranma, Ranma la tua stella incanta, dall'oriente canta le tue verità. xD

Date: 2017-02-04 11:13 pm (UTC)I'm the same! I love watching anime now and the original version with english subs. I haven't watch any in a long time (since Crystal ended its 2nd and 3rd arc) but I remember I was obsessed with this anime: Special A because the drawings were SO DAMN PRETTY!
I don't think anime are just for kids, at the end of the day there are things that can't be achieved making a movie, but anime can!
You should watch Crystal but be aware, the drawings in the beginning are pretty bad! But they did an awesome job with the Second Season!
