flist friday: chiristmas movies

Hello there!

I missed my Flist Friday last week and I remembered on Sunday. I thought it was too late to do one and so I decided not to do it! If you were expecting one and I left you disappointed, I'm sorry! :(

Since everyone is busy because of the holidays, I thought to ask an easy question this time... Okay, maybe not "easy", but quick?

What is your favorite Christmas Movie? Why?

My favorite Christmas movie is - as the gif I choose might have gave it away - Home Alone. It is my favorite because it was always on around Christmas and I rarely sat down watching movies with my dad, and that was the only movie, I can remember, the three of us (Mom, dad and I) watched together. I am sure there were others, but that one stuck somehow! And I just love the story! :D

ELF is my favorite because it's part of our tradition to watch it every year during Christmas! It's just so random and weird and it feels so much like Christmas to me <3 Home Alone is on my top faves as well though!

That's a pretty tricky question. There are several Christmas movies I used to watch every year... but I also watch some of the newer cheesy ones through December.

My favorite Christmas movie is definitely Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It's not only a classic, but is also a childhood favorite of mine. We tend to make it a tradition to watch it every year around Christmas. ♥

Home Alone and Home Alone 2 is on my list as well... also Christmas Vacation! The Muppets Christmas Carol!!!! Polar Express! Santa Clause!

My favorite German Christmas movie is "Weihnachtsmann gesucht" with Christoph Waltz. I love it so much!!!! Need to watch it several times during the holiday Season. :)

I haven't seen 'Home Alone' in years! I loved it when it first came out. We definitely had it on VHS.

My MUST-WATCH Christmas movie is probably "A Christmas Story".



My family would watch it every time it was one though that was pretty unnecessary as we can quote the entire movie LOL. I still HAVE TO WATCH IT on Christmas Eve or Christmas cannot happen. (I'm kinda freaking out this year because we are going to Tim's family's in Wisconsin and it is throwing off all my rituals!!!!!!).

My other gotta-watch is the Muppet Family Christmas which I stumbled upon a few years ago while downloading Christmas stuff and it immediately became one of my all time favorites. I get teary at the end every time when Jim Henson appears for half a second. Plus, the whole theme of, yeah, it's a Christmas special, but how about we are just nice to everyone huh?

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It's been my favorite since I was a little kid and I still make plans around seeing it on tv (despite owning it on dvd)
