A lot of Super Heroes Movies came out this year (and they keep coming) making a lot of people very happy! I think it all begun with MARVEL, who started back in 2008 with Iron Man and built up from there, keeping the same actors around (if we forget about the Incredible Hulk back in 2008 starring Edward Norton) and moving into the TV realm quite easily. Phil Coulson (Clark Greg) that appeared in Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor and the Avengers, Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) The Avengers, The Avengers Age of Ultron and Captain America Winter Soldier, Peggie Carter (Hayley Atwell) Captain America, Captain America Civil War, Lady Siff (Jaimie Alexander) Thor and Thor the Lost World, and I'm sure I'm forgetting someone, but you got the point. They did a great job when it comes to continuity!

DC had a different approach... It started on TV with Arrow, moving into The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow adding now Supergirl to the mix, and - at this point - it's quite difficult for this universe to create something as well organized as the MCU... TV actors and Movie actors are unfortunetely different... So, in the Cinematic Universe, DC had to re-cast the Flash, Superman and Deadshot, and it's not going to stop there. But the (TV)Flash can create different timelines so... I guess that could be their excuse.

So today I want to ask you guys a bunch of Marvel/Dc questions and I want to try to use the Pool feature, because: why not? I will exclude from the pool the X-Men, Ghotam, Lucifer and iZombie because I don't want it to be too complicated... So here are the questions:

[Poll #2057966][Poll #2057966]

Any other comment? :)

  • When it comes to the Heroes I think Marvel is better... but when it comes to the Villains I think DC knows what it's doing.

  • I think DC should use some of the TV actors in the Movies. I need Steven Amell to play Arrow on a big screen

  • I want a movie about Harley Quinn and the Joker because OMG Suicide Squad gave me so many feels!

My favorites are:

  • DC show: Arrow. Even if I'm not enjoying this season so far because I don't like the new team. The Flash is good but now there are to many characters with superpowers. LoT has too many fillers. And in Supergirl I like only the Denvers... The other characters are weak to me.

  • MARVEL show: I'd say S.H.I.E.L.D. because it can be so good... But sometimes it gets boring... Jessica Jones would be my choice if I didn's dislike Luke Cage so much!

  • DC movie: Suicide Squad (the extended cut) Loved the characters even if the storyline wasn't tha good!

  • MARVEL movies: Deadpool right from the opening credits!

  • (But I still have to see Dr Strange)

Not doing the pool because there is just so much I have not seen!

Favourite DC shows: Arrow, Legends of tomorrow and The Flash probably. I don’t watch Supergirl. And the only superhero movies I am interested in is the X-men/Wolverine movies. I haven’t seen any of those DC films. I have seen a few of the Marvel ones, but they are not my thing. Of the Marvel TV shows I have only seen Agent Carter and that didn’t truly work for me, but I did think it got a lot better in the second seasons and hoped for a third season.

Oh man.

Like the poster above me, there is a LOT I haven't seen, for the TV shows especially. I am 3 seasons into Agents of SHIELD and loving it; and I watched exactly one episode of The Flash solely because I knew Mark Hamill was returning as The Trickster; but that is it. Now that i'm back on Netflix, I can fix that more easily than I could at the library. But yeah, very behind on the TV shows.

Also, the only one of the DC movies I've seen is Suicide Squad, so I don't know how much you want to take that into account with my answers. It's the only one I got really excited about, because of Harley. And I'm still not sure whether to classify her as a "villain" or fully neutral anti-hero free agent type who just really needs to dump The Joker and hook up with Poison Ivy like she did in the comics.

I love, love, love the MCU. More attached to the Captain America and Thor films than anything else, but I will happily watch every single one of them as they come out.

And here's something I've said elseweb a couple of times: I think Marvel makes better movies, but DC puts out better comic books. Take that into account as well, if you like. :)

It took me along time to catch up with all these shows... I still have to catch up with Like Cage (I can't start.. I just don't like him... he was the worst part of Jessica Jones). You're going to enjoy the Netflix ones! Very well done!

Suicide Squad was very good! And I'm sorry but I love the relationship between Harley and the Joker in the movie (when it comes to the comics I agree with you though). In the movie you can see he cares about her a great deal... It's less of a a toxic relationship than the one they have on the comics... I loved the way they played the characters and the little way they showed their feelings, SO DAMN GOOD!

Marvel did an amazing job with his movies and with its shows. I love the continuity... I think DC just started and it has potential... I'd love if it was more connected to the TV universe, but it's kind of tricky for them now... :( I agree on the comics...

See, if we got to keep Heath Ledger, I might feel differently about The Joker, but as it is I can no longer separate my love for the character in general with my utter loathing of the dude playing him now. I adore Harley though. She was perfect in every single way.

He would be perfect on a huge movie screen... We have to hope, but I doubt he will move from a realm to another :(

I tend to like the DC shows and the Marvel movies. Though I haven't actually seen the DC movies you listed. I really want to see Suicide Squad. I had a hard time picking a favorite Marvel movie, but I went with Avengers and Captain America: Civil War.

I had to catch up this year because it was getting difficult... Every time a new movie came out I had to go into hiding to stay away from spoilers LOL! So I finally caught up! It felt good!
