Binge Watching: Stranger Things

While I was busy watching Suits and drawl all over Gabriel Macht (sorry but I'm human) my friends were binge watching Stranger Things and going crazy about it.
Since my friends have AWESOME taste when it comes to shows, I decided to give it a go and: DAMN, it was good!

To me Netflix means Quality and the network nailed another amazing show. One of the things I like the most about this company is that they ALWAYS nail the characters. Instead of casting unbelievably gorgeous actors, they cast humans, people that are easy to relate to... They're not just normal looking (I don't want to use the word average because I really hate the word and what it stands for) they also dress as we all would dress for the occasion (no one runs in super high heels and has perfectly curly hair and make up throughout the whole day) and act like real people. The good guys aren't always good, they make mistakes and have bad ideas, and the bad ones are not completely evil. Even in shows like Jessica Jones and Daredevil, the nemesis of the hero is not plain evil. Look at Wilson Fisk or Kilgrave... We see the good in them...

I'm a huge fan of Bloodline because of this, and now I am a huge fan of Stranger Things as well. The story is just insanely good and the kids are AMAZING! Millie Bobby Brown should win all the awards for her interpretation of Eleven! She was fantastic, but all of them were brilliant!

If you have't watch it yet just try it! And then go see them @ The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon (HERE). Jimmy had the time of his life playing with them!

Yes, Stranger Things is sooo good! I've only seen a few episodes so far since my husband and I are watching it together and we have to wait for our one day off a week together but we are loving it!

That's good! The more it takes the better so you won't have to wait too long for a second season... :D

OMG we watched the Jimmy Fallon sketches last night and I JUST ADORE ALL OF THOSE KIDS!!!!!!!!!! I want to watch them in ALL THE THINGS! Especially Millie Bobby Brown, because she was amazing. I'm excited about Season 2. There were just enough mysteries left unsolved to play around with.

This show just blew me away, I did not expect to love it as much as I did. And all the homages to all the great 80s movies, just gave me warm fuzzies. I'd rather watch shows like this, inspired by a certain genre or timeframe or franchise, than any more reboots, thank you!

The kids are all so damn cute! The way Millie says "Sure, why not" cracks me up EVERY TIME! I really want to see them on other stuff but these roles are just the best for them!

Season two is going to be amazing... They left so many doors open... Where is El? What did these guy want from Hop? Why is Nancy with Steve and not with Johnatan? How can Will be so calm after what happened in the bathroom? WHAT ABOUT BARB? (LOL)

So many quotes... All the Lando thing cracked me up... I wished though, when the kids were hiding in the bus Dustin would say "I have a bad feeling about this" instead of "I don't like this" That would have been perfect since he kept going on and on with the Star Wars references... :D

Yeah, a show like this is so refreshing... In a couple of weeks a lot of reboots will hit our TVs... Mac Gyver, Gilmore Girls, Prison Break,... SO MANY!!!

LOL! Yes, I thought the same thing, I was waiting for that classic Star Wars line. :P

OMG the Barb sketch on Jimmy killed me. I think that was the saddest part of the whole show. But maybe she will be back...MAYBE SHE WILL BE THE MONSTER! I mean, it had infected her. Maybe they are more than just incubators...OOOOOH! (okay I just want Barb to come back)

I swear they managed to do everyone's hair and makeup so right, I really felt like I was watching an 80s movie. The girl who played Karen reminded me SO MUCH of the actress from 'Ferris Bueller' and Legend' with those big doe eyes and the way her front teeth were so perfectly straight...

Man, everyone on my Twitter feed is obsessed with this show, and I know I'd love it, but I just can't do the Netflix right now. Ugggghhhh! One day. There are a few other budgetary things I need to get sorted first, but one day...
