Here we go again...
I'm about to board another plane and fly over seas... First stop will be Paris where I'm going to hang out for 5 hours... Then Miami, where I'll get an Uber (oh I missed you Uber) to Fort Lauderdale... I'll be there just in time to settle down and watch Suits mid season finale WOOOOO! XD
I feel very nervous for some reasons... I have everything with me but I have the usual annoying feeling I've left something behind... Maybe I left the gas on... No I'm sure I didn't... Am I? Okay enough XD
Anyway Eric will join me in less than 2 weeks so, if I'm missing something important, he can bring it over...
Things I'm happy to be reunited with:
1. I'll be reunited with my Mac and I'll be able to work on my Harvey/Donna music video!
2. Tokio Sushi... I've missed that restaurant so much!
3. Stores open all day long!
4. The positivity
5. My bicycle
...
Things I'm going to miss (even if for just a month)
1. Mom and dad and the whole family
2. My friends
3. Focaccia (a Genovese kind of bread)
4. My Vespa and my Smart Car and being able to drive around
5. My apartment
6. All the things that make me feel home and calm
Funny thing I'll be in the US just in time for the tv season to start... LOL that's timing XD
Have a great day and sorry for the randomness XD
P.S. FRIENDING MEME OVER HERE

I hear about Uber but am behind on things lol It's like a private taxi something? *shrug* :/

I don't like american taxis, they're dirty, the cabby doesn't know how to drive and there are tons of communication problems (because they're always on the phone with someone while they're driving) Uber is a service, basically it's like a taxi but it's better. You have an app, you set a pick up point and a car arrives to pick you up to bring you where you want. It's way cheeper, the service is better, and you pay with your phone! Always a great experience!!!

Have you recovered from the travel yet?

I am one of these lucky people that don't get jet legged! I'm completely on US time so it was another success! When I was crossing the ocean with the yacht I had to deal with sea sickness and changing time every 2 days... That created more trouble somehow... It was more difficult to get used to the time zone... Or maybe was all the throwing up xD

I lived in Rome for a bit about ten years ago and coming back to the States and suddenly not having my Vespa was SO WEIRD. I had no culture shock moving over but coming back (despite the fact that I'm born and raised ~here) was soooo much harder.
Good luck!!

Well the Vespa becomes somehow vital... I hear you loud and clear!
I have a friend in Rome and I go visit pretty often but I don't know how he manages to live there... To me it's an holiday place... Where were you living before Rome? I'm pretty impressed you didn't have a cultural shock moving there...
Random thing: I didn't put coffee on the list because I have a coffee maker... I took an uber form Miami to Fort Lauderdale and I asked the driver to drop me off to Public Storage because I need to wake up with my coffee maker tomorrow morning... xD
You had 10 years of real coffee... If I think of that, I believe you if you say it was hard for you to come back to the US xD

Focaccia as in the bread that you slather with olive oil? If so, I made some a couple months ago, best bread ever. Omnomnom.

There is no way I can answer this question without giving you some sort of background on my situation LOL so... I'll be brief (I hope)
Since 2012 I've been spending/living half a year in Genova, Italy (where I was born and raised) and half in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. 4 years ago I was working as a manager in a restaurant and I fell in love with an american sailor, so I quit my job and I joined the crew of the yacht he was (is) working on. The yacht spends times both around the Italian coast and in Florida, so that was my life too... I'm saying was because I had to quit due to an impossible situation with my superior (the whole team quit) and because a year ago I applied for a green card (I've been married for 2 years and we thought it was time for me to became a citizen) in order to keep my status, as green card holder, I have to be in the States 6 months + 1 day every year for 3 years, thing that was impossible working on the boat (that's the main reason I quit.... but yes my superior was AWFUL so it was a close second) so now I'm here to "put more days in my pockets".
It has been a crazy year. And it took the boar 5 months to find my replacement because the Owner and his Wife wanted me, so I had to come back for some periods of time and I'm spending a month here to make sure I have enough days... :D

Makes much more sense now that you explained it to me. Thank you for explaining the situation to make it more understandable.
From how you described it, it does sound like a crazy year indeed!
Hopefully you will get some respite on this part of the trip.
