Also, I watched Outlander too so I know what you mean about Tobias LOL The last two episodes of the first season of Outlander were extremely hard to watch. I read the book (just the first one) and I don't think I can find a word to describe my feelings toward certain scenes.
When you talk about the beating you're talking about Jamie "punishing" Claire? That was hard to watch/read too (and I felt rage reading it... hoping not to see that scene on the show) but I kept repeating myself it's the way it was in the past for husbands and wives... and just thinking about it makes me so sad because of all that we - as women - had to go through (and still have to on daily basis) for NO REASON WHATSOEVER... Damn it, it just rub me in the wrong way...
But going back to Tobias (otherwise I'll start my crazy rant and I won't be able to stop it) his character did something even worse on the last episode and I don't know why I'm watching anymore... The first couple of episode of season 2 were kind of light but now it's back to dark and that's just so gratuitous... I don't know what's going on on the writer's head... So twisted!!!
